“Weniger, aber besser”  Less, but better.


I used his designs daily (alarm clocks and shavers) before I thought about design and knew about Rams, but I was a closet minimalist and modernist,  so it came as somewhat of a mini-epiphany to read of him and his designs in the Sept 2007 issue of Wallpaper, because the sensibilities are so close to my heart!



I was lucky to acquire a signed copy of “Dieter Rams, Designer – Die Leise Ordnung der Dinge” Steidl Verlag, Gottingen 1990 ($100), which is an extremely rare signed book of Braun and Vitsoe designs by the master.
